The Chicago Urban League provides various internships throughout the year to support its program, research, and administrative departments. Internships are generally open to undergraduate and graduate-level students. Currently available opportunities are listed below.

 

Digital Media & Graphic Design Intern

The Chicago Urban League is seeking a Digital Media & Graphic Design Intern. This internship will support the work of the External Affairs team and will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Developing event flyers and graphics (including quick-turnaround items)
  • Updating website content
  • Assisting in content creation for social media

This is a part-time internship and will include a stipend of $20/hour. The ideal candidate is a high school or undergraduate student ages 17 – 24 with skills in graphic design and/or experience using Canva. This will be an ongoing internship.

The internship will be primarily virtual; however, some key events and projects will require in-person attendance.

Data Entry Intern

The Chicago Urban League is seeking a Data Entry Intern. This internship will support the work of the External Affairs team and will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Inputing information on Constant Contact
  • Updating website content

This is a part- or full-time internship opportunity and will include a stipend of $20/hour. The ideal candidate is a high school or undergraduate student aged 17 – 24 with skills in Microsoft office and Microsoft excel. This will be an ongoing internship.

The internship will be primarily virtual; however, some key events and projects will require in-person attendance.
